Soothing, comforting, anti-inflammatory and healing - AIP Golden Milk is a lovely treat with turmeric, ginger, the juice of an orange and a date or two.
Sadly we don't get to use much turmeric in our house. My son's very sensitive to it ironically. Same with ginger. Something you might want to bear in mind - just because an ingredient is known to be healing, it doesn't necessarily mean it's healing for you!
So when the boy's not around for the day, we have a bit of a turmeric/ginger-fest. Last week's curry sauce being a case in point. And then there's this tasty bevvie - which you really need to try and would be wise to hop on over to Autoimmune Wellness for the recipe.
I just saw your post on this recipe on Facebook. This Golden Milk sounds like it would be delicious. I clicked the link under the picture to get the recipe but I can't seem to find the recipe. Could you please help me with this? Thank you, Deborah
Hi Deborah, the link is at the bottom of the post 🙂 http://autoimmunewellness.com/aip-golden-milk-orange-dates/
The recipe is not visible to me either.
Can you use almond milk? I know it's not autoimmune paleo, but coconut milk disrupts my GI system terribly
Hi Beth, I haven't tried it but it will be absolutely fine and delicious!
