I'm so proud and excited to be launching my new e-book today. HEALING EATS: 25 RECIPES TO HEAL THE GUT WHILE SOOTHING THE SOUL is fully compliant with the elimination phase of the Autoimmune Protocol, together with both the Wahls Paleo and Paleo diets. Additionally the recipes are mostly (but not exclusively) GAPS, SCD and Whole30 friendly with a handful that are low-FODMAP and low-histamine compliant.

HEALING EATS is a collection of my family-favourite recipes. I am passionate about cramming in as many nutrients as possible each meal time. Every recipe is a balance of flavours and textures, as well as being easy, quick and straightforward to make. Your days of preparing special food just for yourself are over, with these recipes everybody will want to join in!.

When we embark on a healing protocol in order to lessen the signs and symptoms of dysfunction, we need to remove the stressors from our lives, several of which will be found on our plates. By eliminating those foods known to cause irritation to the digestive tract we can calm our immune system and relieve symptoms. However the wellbeing comes from what we add in. There are so many foods and ingredients that could be called 'healing', however I have taken a selection that I identify with most, and created a selection of recipes built around them.

HEALING EATS is a 76-page downloadable pdf containing 25 allergen-free recipes, each one focusing on ingredients known for their healing capabilities, therefore aiding your healing without compromising on flavour. These family-approved recipes will be enjoyed by everyone, healing diet or not. Each recipe has been created to aid you in your healing, without making you feel you're missing out.

To celebrate the arrival, I am giving away FIVE copies of HEALING EATS this week. See below to enter.

I've always loved ginger, and learning it's a healing ingredient was a great excuse to add it to absolutely everything. Naturally, I'm very curious to taste those bliss balls in the ebook! My favourite discovery about cooking with ginger is the heat it adds when used raw. I miss the fresh heat of chillies sometimes, but a good sprinkle of grated frozen ginger is a good replacement.

Hi Kate. I'm so happy to have purchased this book! You are by far the most sophisticated AIP recipe crafter around. i'm an experienced cook, so on a daily basis, I do well on my own. But when I look for a special recipe for guests, I know I can find one on your site (or book) that will allow me to cook an extra-special meal for guests and never alert them to my food restrictions. Thanks for producing this.

    Kate,

I have owned your ebook for quite a while and have enjoyed many of the recipes contained in it!

I am now about to try the lamb koftas with crispy shallots and am wondering exactly how big a large shallot is. I have seen some gigantic ones lately, and some have two or even three bulbs attached. Could you be a little more specific as to the size of a large shallot?

    Best wishes

I don't have any to hand unfortunately, but my shallots aren't the types with several attached.
I'm guessing the size of a regular plum. Hopefully you don't have oversized plums where you live, haha.

    Kate,

Well I made the Lamb Koftas tonight with the Golden "Rice" and the Cucumber Riata. My husband said that it was the best meal he can remember having in a long time, and he enjoys business meals out regularly and when abroad.
I loved it too! And the Crispy Shallots were spectacular! Thank you so very much for these wonderful recipes. What enjoyment they have brought to our home!

    Best wishes,
