oranges and lemons ice cream [AIP]

Well, oranges and lemons is a bit of an understatement. There are two different types of both oranges and lemons, and rather than juicing them, I’ve discarded the pith and pips, but used all the zest and everything else. It’s definitely tangy – and if you like your citrus, you’re going to LOVE it.

I was originally going to call this Saint Clements Ice Cream – after the olde English nursery rhyme, Orange and Lemons. Do you know that one? Who knew that 18th Century children’s songs were so gruesome – I mean chopping off heads, dying from the plague, throwing cats in wells, cutting tails off some poor blind mice .. all those hidden historical meanings were brutal!

You’ll enjoy the ice cream though!  😆   So time to dust off the ice cream machine and find the recipe over at Autoimmune Wellness.
