Wild Sockeye Salmon with Spinach and Dill Cream {AIP, GAPS, SCD, Paleo}

Wild Sockeye Salmon with Spinach and Dill Cream - Healing Family Eats

Do you love wild salmon as much as I do, I wonder? We eat it at least twice a week in our house, not only because it's so tasty but also because it's so incredibly nutritious with all the essential anti-inflammatory Omega-3, micronutrients, fats, minerals, vitamins, and antioxidants that it provides. Then put it with some fresh herbs and green leaves and your body will be in heaven. Not literally though, the aim of the AIP is to keep you going for longer than a fish meal so don't worry about that!!

But in all seriousness, did you know that farmed salmon is pretty scary stuff. I bet you didn't know that it comes with an ingredient list did you? You see, just as buying meat that hasn't been pasture raised gives you flesh tainted by the grains (and other things) the animal consumed - farmed salmon will contains traces of a concoction of worrying chemicals it was fed to kill off lice and make its flesh bright pink, not to mention a diet of grains (say what?), soy and artificial this, that and everything else under the sun. See here if you don't believe me!

I've said this before but I'll say it again. Wild salmon can be pricey, depending on where you live and the season we're in. So look for it in the freezer departments of your local food hall, or opt for a firm white fish instead. Cod, halibut, haddock, sablefish and the like would all be amazing. I've also tried it with moist pieces of poached chicken and it was totally yum!

Head on over to Mickey and Angie over at Autoimmune-Paleo for the recipe. I'm enjoying my little job as guest contributor to their site ... and I hope you enjoy this latest offering!

Last but not least, I hope you bought your Autoimmune Wellness Bundle and are finding out just what an amazing offer it was. I'm sure the resources included will open your eyes to how much more progressive we can all be with our health journeys. I want to thank those of you who bought the Bundle through me, the money I receive as an affiliate will help me maintain Healing Family Eats and enable me to keep more recipes coming your way. Thank you kindly!
